I’m Olivia Hinn, a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management, where I earned my Master of Marketing degree. My academic journey has equipped me with skills ranging from Business and Marketing to Inclusion work. My courses have provided me with a one of a kind perspective on consumer behavior, and marketing strategy.
Prior to my time at Vanderbilt, I graduated from The University of Alabama with my Bachelor of Science in Business Management, concentrating in Entrepreneurship, as well as a self designed minor of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I was given the opportunity to propose a new minor of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through the New College at The University of Alabama. After conducting research and pulling together the course load best fit to provide a well rounded understanding of the topic, I was given the green light. I am confident that the culmination of my curriculum provides me with a unique lens in which I am able to find creative ways to meet consumers where they are. I believe that you first have to understand the people before you can understand how to reach them, and my minor has taught me just that.
During my studies, I committed myself to excelling as a student, both academically and professionally. While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, I was heavily involved both on and off campus. I was given several great internship opportunities in fields such as marketing, event planning, small business consulting, as well as inclusion work. I was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Nu Chapter, and held many different leadership roles during my 4 years and met some of the greatest women I know to date. Additionally, I served on the University’s DEI committee, was a member of the Order of Omega, Riverpitch Entrepreneurship competition winner, and a Capstone Scholarship recipient.
Aside from my academic pursuits, I am originally from Lake Mary, Florida, and have a passion for running half marathons, cooking mediterranean recipes, and listening to Billy Joel. I pride myself on my outgoing personality, positive outlook on life, and ability to connect with diverse groups of individuals. I am a solution finder who is committed to ongoing learning, growth, and hard work. I look forward to discovering opportunities where I can apply my skills and creativity within a team to create a significant impact!
